Summer has finally arrived here in Swaffham… Along with the news of a new baby!
Some great news, we had the family to stay, celebrating being Grandparents. Looking forward to a Christmas baby for 2019! Ben and Dani are the happy expectant couple pictured at the end of our “garden” table above.
We have improved our breakfast “Al fresco” offering at Holly Lodge with a newly constructed Gazebo. Last year an old friend of ours, Dave Mott, laid the patio with African Slate, nothing mind-blowingly surprising there you would say, until we discovered he has just celebrated his 75th birthday! I think the patio this year looks a delight thanks to Lyn’s artistic green fingers.
“Dads Army” came to Swaffham too, coinciding with the weekly market and auction now an extremely popular annual event. The whole town really entered into the spirit of the day, with many of the townsfolk and traders dressed in 1940’s style. The iconic TV series was shot almost entirely on location in Norfolk, back in the day!
